Lakers Salvage Split In Bowling Green

After playing three nail biters against Bowling Green State this season, Lake Superior State defeated the Falcons hockey team convincingly Saturday. Sophomore forward Rick Schofield scored two power-play goals and had two assists to lead the Laker to a 8-4 win. LSSU split the weekend series and finished 2-1-1-1 against BGSU during the 2008-09 regular season. Schofield scored a 5-on-3 power-play goal at 16:04 of the first period and are a 5-on-4 goal 27 seconds later to give a 3-1 lead Laker. LSSU went to lead 4-1 after a penalty-ridden first and 6-3 after the period of two.
